Laminate veneers are thin restorations placed mainly over the front surface of the teeth to improve their colour, shape, length and overall proportions.

What Makes Laminate Veneers Different?

A crown covers the entire visible part of the tooth.

A laminate veneer mainly covers the front surface, which means it can preserve more natural tooth structure when the existing teeth are already in an appropriate position.

The amount of preparation cannot be expressed as one fixed measurement for every patient. Some teeth may require very little preparation, while more prominent, rotated or crowded teeth may require more.

If achieving the requested result would require excessive preparation, we may recommend orthodontics, bonding or crowns instead.

Who Are Veneers Suitable For?

Zirconia laminate veneers are generally more appropriate when the teeth are:

• Structurally healthy
• Reasonably well aligned
• Free from significant active decay
• Supported by healthy gums and adequate bone
• Being treated mainly for colour, shape, proportion or minor alignment changes

They may not be appropriate where there is:

• Severe crowding or protrusion
• Significant loss of natural tooth structure
• Very large existing restorations
• Severe grinding or clenching
• Active gum disease
• Insufficient posterior chewing support

Digital Smile Design principles and the golden ratio are used as part of the planning process to determine suitable tooth proportions and dimensions.

Your actual zirconia restorations are then assessed during the trial stage, where you can review the shape, length, shade and overall appearance before permanent bonding.

Zirconia laminate veneers are £300 per tooth.

Your Visit

Send us clear photographs of your teeth and any recent panoramic X-ray you may have.

Our dental team will review your case and provide an initial treatment recommendation and quotation.

After arriving in Antalya, we complete your examination and imaging, confirm the final treatment plan and select the tooth shape and shade with you.

Your teeth are then prepared according to their individual requirements.

The restorations are produced in our own laboratory and you will have a trial appointment to assess the shape, length, colour, overall appearance, comfort and bite.

Permanent bonding only takes place after the final design has been reviewed and approved.

The full treatment is normally completed within your 6-night, 7-day stay.

Guarantee

Our zirconia laminate veneers are covered by a 3-year material guarantee, subject to the written warranty terms provided with your treatment.

Regular professional dental maintenance, good oral hygiene and use of the provided night guard where indicated are important for maintaining the restorations.

If a covered veneer requires assessment, repair or replacement, this is carried out at Dental Design Turkey according to the warranty conditions.

Flights, accommodation, transfers and other personal travel expenses are not included in the guarantee.

Laminate Veneers, Composite Bonding or Crowns?

Composite bonding is usually the most conservative option and works best for smaller cosmetic changes.

Laminate veneers provide greater control over colour, shape and proportions while generally requiring less preparation than crowns.

Crowns provide full coverage and are normally more appropriate where the tooth is heavily restored, structurally compromised or requires a larger correction.

The correct treatment depends on the existing teeth and bite rather than simply which option the patient prefers cosmetically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are laminate veneers the same as “Turkey teeth”?

Not necessarily. The expression “Turkey teeth” is commonly used online for full smile makeovers, particularly crowns. Laminate veneers are a different type of restoration and generally preserve more natural tooth structure than a full crown.

Will my teeth be shaved?

Some preparation is usually required – typically around 0.6–0.7 mm. The exact amount depends on the natural position, shape and alignment of each tooth, so we do not promise one fixed preparation depth for every patient.

Can zirconia veneers be whitened later?

No. Whitening products do not change the colour of zirconia. The shade should therefore be selected carefully before the restorations are produced. Natural teeth that are not being restored can be whitened separately where appropriate.

How long do veneers last?

There is no fixed lifetime for any dental restoration. Longevity depends on oral hygiene, bite, grinding or clenching, gum and bone health and regular maintenance. Our zirconia laminate veneers carry a 3-year material guarantee subject to our written warranty conditions.
