A dental implant is a titanium post placed in the jaw to replace a missing tooth root. Once healed, it supports a crown, or a bridge where several teeth are missing.
At Dental Design Turkey in Antalya, implant treatment is completed over two visits: implant placement on the first visit, and the crown or bridge on the second after healing.

Who Is Suitable?
Implants are generally suitable where gums are healthy and there is enough bone to hold the implant. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and active gum disease can affect healing and are assessed before treatment. Where bone is insufficient, grafting or a sinus lift may be recommended.

The implant crown is priced separately – see our zirconia crown options. Bone grafting (£200), sinus lifting (£200) and membrane (£260) are charged where clinically required. The final plan and cost are confirmed after assessment.

First visit

Healing at home – usually 3 to 6 months
Second visit – 5 nights (two to three implants)

Frequently Asked Questions
Does implant surgery hurt?
Placement is done under local anaesthesia; sedation is available. Some swelling and discomfort for a few days afterwards is normal.
Can the implant and crown be done in one visit?
Usually not. The implant needs time to integrate with the bone before the final crown is fitted.
Which implant brand should I choose?
All systems we use are established brands. The clinical team recommends one based on bone quality, position and budget.
What if I don’t have enough bone?
Bone grafting or a sinus lift can often make implant placement possible. For severe upper-jaw bone loss, zygomatic implants are an alternative.
